Overview
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Fractions Calculator ("we", "our", or "the app") handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have designed the app with a privacy-first approach: the default state is that no personal data ever leaves your device.
By using Fractions Calculator you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Data We Collect
We collect a minimal, anonymised set of data solely to understand how the app is used in aggregate and to fix crashes:

Crash reports and usage events are processed by Apple's built-in frameworks (MetricKit and Xcode Organizer). We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs or advertising networks.
Data We Don't Collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your calculations, expressions, or results
- Your calculation history
- Device location
- Camera, microphone, or photo library access
- Contacts or calendar data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Any biometric data
iCloud Storage
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your calculation history is stored in your private iCloud account using CloudKit. This means:
- The data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
- Only you — via devices signed in to your Apple ID — can access it.
- We have no access to your iCloud data whatsoever.
- You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings → iCloud Sync.
- Deleting your iCloud data is done from Settings (iOS) → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Fractions Calculator → Delete Data.
iCloud Sync is opt-in and off by default. If you never enable it, your history remains only on the device where calculations were made and is never uploaded anywhere.
Purchases & Subscriptions
All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details, Apple ID, or any billing information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs data related to purchases.
Analytics
We use Apple's built-in analytics tools only. These tools share anonymised, aggregated data with us provided you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers on your device (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements). If you have opted out of developer analytics sharing, no analytics data is sent from your device.
We do not integrate any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar).
Children's Privacy
Fractions Calculator is suitable for users of all ages, including children. Because we do not collect any personal information, the app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations. No parental consent is required for a child to use the app.
Your Rights
Because we do not hold your personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. All user-generated data (calculation history) lives only on your device and in your private iCloud account, both of which you control entirely.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, notify you via an in-app banner on the next launch. Continued use of the app after the updated policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
